Dr. Mark Davenport, MD

Dr. Davenport is a board certified Family Physician. He received his BS in biology from Michigan Tech University. He then graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Davenport completed his Family Practice residency in his home town of Saginaw in 1984. After practicing for five years in Fremont Michigan, he settled in Traverse City where he has been practicing with Partners in Family Practice since 1990. Dr Davenport has had the privilege of being involved as a physician for the US Olympic Committee starting in 1987, culminating as a team physician for the Summer Olympics in 1992.

He enjoys alpine and Nordic skiing during the winter and kayaking and road biking during the summer. He and his wife Connie, have 3 grown daughters and 5 grand children.

Dr. Erik Lindstrom, MD

Dr. Lindstrom attended Kent State University for undergraduate studies in Integrated Life Sciences, and spent semesters at Miami University of Ohio, and University of Leicester, England on their rowing teams. He then graduated from Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba and completed Family Medicine residency at Munson Medical Center in 2015. Dr. Lindstrom is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Lindstrom enjoys all scopes of Family Medicine, especially Sports Medicine, and is very involved in the local community, promoting health through involvement with sports teams and mass event coverage. Areas of involvement have included National Ski Patrol, Traverse City West High School Hockey, IceMan Cometh MTB race, Traverse City Ironman, Break-a-Wave Open Water Swim, the NHL prospect tournament, and Detroit Red Wing Training Camps. When not providing medical coverage, you might see him around the VASA on skis or a mountain bike, cycling Leelanau Peninsula, playing hockey, or surfing Lake Michigan. He and his wife, Cristy, enjoy spending time with their two children, and volunteering with Young Life.

Dr. Tara Bournay, DO

Tara Bournay graduated with a BS in Biology from Michigan State University. She holds her DO degree from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bournay completed her family practice residency at Munson in Traverse City MI. She is dual certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Dr. Bournay has special interests in musculoskeletal/sports medicine, women’s health, wilderness medicine and practices osteopathic manipulation. Her hobbies include running, hiking/backpacking and fishing with her husband Jake and dog Ernie. She also enjoys working in her orchard and all things MSU sports related

Dr. Jessica Pollard, DO

Family Medicine & Sports Medicine Physician

Dr. Pollard will be joining the practice in Summer 2026 and accepting new patients!

Dr. Jessica Pollard is a board-certified family medicine physician with fellowship training in sports medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at the Munson Family Medicine Residency Program, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan.

She completed Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship training at Michigan State University, gaining advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention, and return-to-play decision making. During her fellowship, Dr. Pollard served as a fellow physician for Michigan State University women’s soccer, gymnastics, and baseball, and also provided medical coverage for football, basketball, hockey, and wrestling.

Dr. Pollard provides comprehensive family medicine care and specializes in non-operative sports medicine, with experience caring for athletes of all ages. Her clinical interests include pediatric and adolescent athlete injury management, care of female athletes, and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions across the lifespan. She offers services such as ultrasound-guided injections, joint and soft-tissue injections, and point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment precision.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Pollard enjoys good coffee and spending time with her husband and children.
